Weeks Marine selects Arc Surveying & Mapping to provide hydrographic and geophysical surveying services after winning $62 million Alabama Harbor Deepening & Widening Dredging Project.
Weeks Marine Inc., Covington, Louisiana, has contracted with Arc Surveying & Mapping, Inc. of Jacksonville, Florida to provide hydrographic and geophysical surveying services after the awarded of a $62,055,622 ACOE Mobile District contract for harbor deepening and widening. Work will be performed in Irvington, Alabama, with an estimated completion date of January 30, 2025.
Arc Surveying & Mapping, Inc. will provide hydrographic and geophysical surveys, describing subsurface structures and sediment layering to a depth of 35 ft. below the existing bottom of the channel to be deepened and widened. Survey data will be provided in an ArcGeoTwin 3D Integrated Digital Geologic Model for use in enhancing planning and production through a clear understanding of the subsurface.
