Location: Republic of Haiti

PAR was tasked to perform concurrent airborne LiDAR and 4-Band Imagery to develop topographic maps and ortho-rectified imagery to support the assessment and design of road improvements for 60 Kilometers of existing roads around Port au Prince, Haiti.

The project area consisted of eight separate road corridors with a Lidar point density exceeding 10 Pts per square meter, and 4 Band imagery at a resolution of 7.5-cm pixels. Absolute Lidar vertical accuracy was better than 8-cm RMSE.  A ground control survey was conducted to support Lidar and Image accuracy. Field surveys also included bridge survey details and cross sections in selected areas.

PAR deployed a Cessna 206 aircraft to Port au Prince for the aerial data collection.  Airborne collection took 5 days with weather standby.
