Arc Surveying & Mapping, Inc. has over 48 years experience in  pipeline surveying. We have surveyed pipeline projects from 100’ in length to 190 miles in length. Our team has the experience necessary to complete any pipeline surveying project from preliminary to as-built to inline inspection. Our mapping department is very proficient in producing final products for our clients.


Arc has provided Surveying Services throughout the entire Southeast for Kinder Morgan, Inc., Southern Natural Gas Co., Tennessee Gas Corporation, El Paso Corporation, Atlanta Gas and Light, Alabama Gas Company, Southcross Energy GP,LLC, Progressive Pipeline, Magnolia River Services, Inc., Denbury Onshore, LLC, ENGlobal Engineering , Inc., Weaver, LLC, WHC Inc., Gulf Interstate Engineers, Willbros Engineers, Black Warrior Methane, Project Consulting Services, Inc., and many others.  

We provide a complete package of civil survey services from preliminary route surveys thru pipeline construction and as-built surveys as well as inline inspections. We have performed over 1500 miles of preliminary/as-built surveys and have installed more than 7500 above ground markers for more than 8000 miles of inline inspection. We provide alignment sheets, plats and descriptions for easement acquisition, Road/River permit applications, as-built red line drawings and maps for inline inspection applications. Our surveyors have all of the necessary operator qualifications and certifications to perform pipeline locating.

Class Location Changes, Inline Inspection, Hydro Tests, Anomaly Digs and Compressor Station Upgrade at various locations in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee – Shaine Hurt, Geoff Ennis, Jaime Ventura and Janel Rogers.

  Elba Express Pipeline  2005-2010

Approximately 190 miles of pipeline in Georgia and South Carolina.  GPS was utilized to establish control.  Preliminary survey for FERC filing.  Centerline survey for mapping.  Currently we have 16 crews working on the As-built Survey.  Registered Land Surveyor for all boundary surveys in Georgia and South Carolina –   Jerry Creel and Lee Walker.

Cypress Natural Gas Pipeline 2000-2008

Approximately 168 miles of pipeline in Georgia and Florida.  GPS was utilized to establish control.  Preliminary centerline survey for FERC filing.  Centerline survey for mapping.  As-built Survey completed with as many as 10 survey crews.  Registered Land Surveyor for all boundary surveys in Georgia and Florida – Jerry Creel and Lee Walker.

Approximately 90 miles of preliminary FERC survey and centerline surveying for mapping at various locations in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia  – Lynn Roberts.

  South System Expansion II 2002-2004

Approximately 114 miles of preliminary and as-built surveying and mapping expansion in Enterprise, Mississippi; Demopolis, Gallion, Marion, Prattville, Tallassee and Auburn, Alabama; Talbotton, Macon, Hallgate and Wrens, Georgia – Lynn Roberts.

South System Expansion I 2002

Approximately 59.7 miles of preliminary and as-built surveying and mapping expansion in Enterprise, Mississippi; York, Selma and Auburn, Alabama – Lynn Roberts.

Approximately 16.8 miles of surveying and mapping expansion in Pickens County, Jefferson County, St. Clair County and Calhoun County, Alabama – Aubrey Coleman.

Alagasco Uprate Projects 2001

30″ GE Plastics Line 1998

Approximately 4.5 miles of survey and site work expansion in Selma, Alabama.  GPS was utilized for gathering data to process into new spreadsheet format – Aubrey Coleman.

East Tennessee Expansion 1998

Approximately 28 miles of survey and site work on expansion in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee including 18 miles of detailed topo maps in Atlanta, Georgia for FERC filing (Site Specific Drawings).  GPS was utilized on this entire expansion – Lee Walker.

Approximately 45 miles of survey and site work on expansion in Alabama and Georgia including 17 miles of detailed topo maps in Atlanta, Georgia for FERC filing (Site Specific Drawings).  GPS was utilized on this entire expansion – Lee Walker.

Approximately 30 miles of surveys and site work on expansion in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.  G.P.S. was utilized on this entire expansion – Lee Walker.

Settlement Facilities Survey 1995

Approximately 30 miles of surveying and mapping on pipeline expansion and line replacement in Georgia and Alabama.  Total station and G.P.S. was used to map these congested areas – Lee Walker.
 
Line Replacement 1989-1998

Numerous miles (hundreds) of pipeline replacement surveys on entire Southern Natural Gas System in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia – David McBrayer, David Young, Danny Cosby, Oswald Foster, Tim Lord and Aubrey Coleman.

Approximately 190 miles of pipeline in Georgia and South Carolina.  Provided Willbros Engineers with survey data for FERC filing, centerline survey and currently providing data for as-built survey.  Registered Land Surveyor for all condemnation surveys in Georgia and South Carolina – John Ravenscroft, Jim Elmore.
 
Gulfstream Natural Gas Pipeline 1999-2000

Approximately 250 miles of pipeline in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida.  GPS was utilized to establish control.  Preliminary centerline survey for FERC filing.  Registered Land Surveyor for all boundary surveys in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida – Tom Alexander.

Trans-Union Pipeline 1999-2000

Approximately 42 miles of pipeline in Arkansas and Louisiana.  Set all GPS control and preliminary pipeline survey for FERC filing – Ron Evans. 

Palmetto Pipeline 1999

Approximately 160 miles of pipeline survey in South Carolina and North Carolina.  Preliminary centerline survey for FERC filing – Ron Evans.


Project Consulting Services, Inc.:

Plant Gaston Natural Gas Pipeline 2014 – 2015

Approximately 31 miles of natural gas pipeline.  Provided centerline survey for mapping and all road crossing permits, property plats, condemnation plats and as-built survey – Aubrey Coleman.

Kemper County COand Natural Gas Pipelines 2010

Approximately 6 miles of natural gas pipeline and 61 miles of CO2 pipeline.  Provided centerline survey for mapping and all road crossing permits – Aubrey Coleman.

Denberry Delhi Pipeline

Approximately 80 miles of as-built surveying on Denberry Delhi Pipeline Project in Mississippi and Louisiana – Buddy Belcher.

Southern Trail Pipeline

Furnished 16 crews and 4 supervisors on 360 mile Southern Trail Pipeline Project in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.  Project cancelled after one month of work – Buddy Belcher

Approximately 13 miles of pipeline in Jackson, TN.  GPS was utilized to re-establish centerline and asbuilt survey, staked proposed centerline and right-of-way limits for construction – Max Brock.
